| 19th Jul 08 | Fantastic opportunities - Umpiring Indoor Hockey |
| I know the season finished a while ago and Hockey is fading to the back of your minds…but look at the weather, all we are getting is rain, rain and more rain…just think how bad its going to be in September and what with partners moaning about drying kit all over the house this is your ideal chance to try something that is indoors, fast paced, good fun, will sharpen up your skills, undoubtedly improve your outdoor game and you get regular coaching from Level 3 umpires. Now if that hasn’t given you food for thought then consider this year we will have fantastic opportunities to be get your level 1 indoor award and then hopefully quickly progress to level 2 and then who knows..keep those dreams going!! So please enter your availability onto the website…it is most Monday nights from 8pm – 11pm (we will be breaking for school holidays / half terms) - we can accommodate those who have to leave early or arrive late (if needed). We are even going to give you an opportunity of trialing the game without the pressures of League Hockey – the first 3 weeks of the season (8th, 15th and 22nd September) have been put aside for trials for players and umpires alike and we have promised to be nice to each other no matter what!! The league season will follow on from there and run until approx May. The league is split into 3 and therefore for those of you just starting out there are games that will suit your level of umpiring so do not be afraid. give it a go..if you really think its not for you then fair enough but you will never know until you’ve tried! If you have any questions then please contact me Rob Jenkins (Hampshire Indoor Rep) | |

| 25th Jun 08 | Hospitality Report - change |
| It is apparent that umpires who do not go back to the club house after a game have been putting in an average hospitality score, therefore distorting the scores of the Clubs in question, some clubs would expect to receive a higher score due to their good hospitality. Umpires can now enter not applicable if they do not partake of the clubs hospitlaity. This category will not have an impact on the club score. | |
